The patch contains a modified version of tar.m4. The --hard-dereference option prevents from a situation, where symlinks (used in the compiler/src subtree) get converted into hard links.
NOTE: drops php5 support for PHP extension (thrift_protocol)
however library still can support PHP5 as evidenced by CI build

The file lib/php/lib/Thrift/Type/TConstant.php is missing from the php
Makefile. Therefore "make install" don't copy the TConstant.php file.

Add check for php extension to not build if phpize has not been run,
update Vagrantfile to update package list for haskell test deps, and
change bison min version to 2.4 to work with the current versions of
debian, ubuntu and centos.
Adds a nice TBinarySerializer class to make it simple to convert between PHP objects and serialized strings using the Binary protocol.

This patch adds a make target in lib/php that builds the php extension. By default configure will attempt to build this, but it can be disabled with --without-php_extension.

The attachment was made with the "licensed for inclusion" option, so it
should get a standard Apache license header. Our other makefiles use
$() style for variables and don't include extra spaces before
backslashes.

Modified TProtocol.h et al to take collection size as unsigned int. This removes need to cast STL's default size_t to signed int and is more correct, since collection sizes cannot be < 0 by definition
Moved compiler/Makefile to compiler/cpp.mk so it doesn't get trashed by automake
